Living

So what is the difference between making a living and making a life? My opinion is that making a living equates to keeping yourself alive, while making a life is more like enjoying the things that you have. To live is to survive. In order to survive, you need to have a lot of resources, from water to air, from food to somewhere to lay your head. You need them all to be able to live. But when we make a life, our outlook is very different. We make a life by helping those around us, empathizing with them and sharing. And, more importantly, we can do all those things regardless of how much of a living we have been able to make.
