Choice

We can always choose our actions. The ability to choose gives us power. Two people in apparently identical situations can have completely different attitudes to the position they find themselves in. Put simply, I suppose, it is the difference between looking at your glass and seeing it as half-full rather than half-empty. We can choose to be grateful. We can choose to be happy. I am reminded of a story  that Corrie ten Boom told of a time when she was a prisoner in a concentration camp, and how she learned to be grateful for the fleas in the dorm area. Because of the fleas the guards would not enter the area, so she had the opportunity to study the Bible with her family without fear of interruption.
