Truth has no special time of its own. Its hour is now–always.
Albert Schweitzer (1875-1965)
Scientific truth is ever changing. Even now, for example, scientists do not universally agree that global warming is man-made. Over the last several thousand years the earth has been both cooler and warmer than it is now. This does not mean that we don ‘t need to look after the planet, but demonstrates that science does not always agree as to what truth is. If you were to ask whether the earth is flat 1,000 years ago, there would have been a resounding positive response. We now know the earth is round like a ball rather than flat. But while some types of truth are mutable, much more important are the non-scientific truths, like honesty and integrity, courage and loyalty. Those are the sorts of truth that are referred to here, and their time is always now.
