Character

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”

Martin Luther King, Jr. (1929-1968)

Reflection: I am including this quotation because this is all about a quality we are seriously lacking in this day and age – integrity. When I was growing up, honor and integrity were something to aspire to, not to be looked down on or despised. What we really are – our true character, if you will – really does come down to how we act when obstacles are placed in our path. Anybody can be gracious and kind when things are going their way, but it is a lot harder when things go against us.
